Dr. Alvarez is one of our most impressive hospitalists. She has been working here for less than 3 years but was one of our Family Medicine residents before that and her passion and dedication to PBMC is evidenced in all that she does. She has taken on a role as a core faculty member for our Family Medicine residency and serves as a mentor and inspiration to many of our residents. She has become the attending they all feel they can reach out to and is that bridge between the hospitalists and the residents. Dr. Alvarez is also involved in our age friendly initiatives and serves as one of our representatives on the Hospital Medicine physician wellness council. She has taken on more and more responsibility in our hospital and in our group and every time she does, she excels at it. She is one of the physicians I have come to rely on and her wonderful attitude and positive disposition makes her a favorite among our patients. Honestly, if one of my family members was in the hospital she is the one I would want caring for them. She is truly a rising star at PBMC.
