Read more about this physician's nomination story*:
I had surgery on my humorous two and a half years ago with a surgeon and had the complication of a radial nerve palsy. A few months later, it started to get better. A few months after that I was complaining about pain in my arm and my radial nerve palsy was getting worse. My surgeon at that time was dismissing my complaints and said everything was fine. It was suggested that I see Dr. John Nolan who ordered tests and noticed the plate had dislodged and was pressing on the nerve. He clearly explained what needed to be done and would try to graft the nerve to try and save it. He was honest about what the end results could be. He was very caring yet honest. Unfortunately, when I had the surgery, he noted that the nerve had been too damaged for too long to save and he spent time advising me of what my options were. He did not try to rush me to make a decision. I have not yet had the tendon transfer but will schedule this procedure with him as I believe he is a skilled surgeon and will do all he can to help me and keep me informed every step of the way. No promises made but true statistics. Dr. Nolan is a very kind ,caring , honest surgeon who truly cares about his patients at the same time he does not sugar coat anything,
