Dr. Travis Kipping has worked for our Behavioral Health Poughkeepsie office for a few years. In the short time I have worked with him, I have witnessed how he embodies the principles of patient-centered care, clinical empathy, and strong bedside manner. He truly focuses on understanding a patient as a whole person rather than just treating their diagnosis. He sometimes would spend more time than allotted in an appointment with his patients. Dr. Kipping is truly respectful of cultural, spiritual, and personal beliefs and tailors care to each individual's needs. He empowers patients to take an active role in their own health by explaining medical information in simple, non-technical language and confirms that his patient understands. It brings me joy seeing a patient come into the office very hesitant and leaving with a smile.
