I have known Dr. Seminara for over 30 years. She is the epitome of a physician's physician. She is one of the most caring and professional physicians that I have encountered in my career and takes care of some of my own family. Her career as an internist and a geriatrician has been stellar. She has been the director of geriatric medicine at SIUH for many years. She also has been medical director of Eger Nursing Home. She has been elected to many leadership positions, locally, regionally and nationally. She has been an advocate for the geriatric population and leads the home visit program. She is well published and recently published a book on preoperative assessment for the geriatric patients. Dr. Seminara's opinions are often sought after by colleagues, peers and staff. She is always kind, considerate, and compassionate. She is an active teacher and role model for the students and residents. Dr. Seminara is a true visionary in her field and is always advancing the vision and mission of Northwell.
