I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Dr. Murray since February 2024. She embodies the true meaning of Compassionate Care with every patient she encounters. Deciding on hospice services is a difficult decision for many patients and families as there is a misconception that they are "giving up" and that a choice of hospice means the "end." I have worked with her discussing goals of care and clarifying hospice services on many patients, leading to them being more comfortable with their decisions. She takes the time to explain medical conditions and prognosis in a way that anyone can understand and provides a gentle touch to patients and families that I would wish for my family members if they were hospitalized. Dr. Murray also is bilingual which helps coordinate care on a more personal level. While the video interpreters are a great resource, there is nothing comparable to speaking face to face with the doctor treating you, in your own language. Dr. Murray has excellent bedside manner and excels in the art of medicine. I trust her medical expertise when we discuss patients in interdisciplinary rounds, and have received positive feedback from patients and families feeling comfortable with the care she is providing them. It is difficult to find a doctor that will take the time with patients as Dr. Murray does. In addition to her compassionate care that she provides patients, she shows a great respect for every interdisciplinary team member- specialist doctors/teams, nurses, nursing assistants, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, case managers, and social workers and values the individual roles everyone does on her team to make a patients' care and plan successful.
