Dr. Nadeem Haque is a truly outstanding human being, doctor, and colleague. He exemplifies in daily life and practice what it means to be truly caring. I have had the privilege of witnessing Dr. Haque in his interactions with patients and their families (as he brilliantly cares for both) as well as his interactions with his colleagues and can attest to his everlasting commitment as a truly compassionate, caring clinician. It is an honor to call him a colleague, and he exemplifies what it is to be truly caring in all aspects of his career. One example in particular, was an Obstetrical patient whose entire family was going through a particularly tough time. In speaking with the patient and family members throughout her care, she professed her utmost gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Haque, not just for the compassionate and outstanding care he provided to her as his patient, but for the measures he extended to provide for the patient's family as well. For privacy reasons, I cannot provide detail but suffice it to say that Dr. Haque was a huge resource and support for not just the patient, but for her entire family. His caring, compassion, and kindness, helped them through a very hard time, and to navigate a very tough situation. The patient sought me out after her delivery to convey her gratitude and appreciation of Dr. Haque. This individual story could be told many times over by dozens of patients. His kindness is apparent from the moment you meet him, since it is the first thing you notice as he greets you with his warm smile. He always makes everyone feel they are his only focus; his talent in putting patients and their families at ease is only matched by his compassion shown in caring for those same patients and families. With regard to his interactions with team members, just listen to anyone speak about him. He is often the go-to person when help is needed and is a phenomenal resource to all around him. The way he communicates is an example of kindness and caring in action. Even via email, his exchanges are warm, polite, and respectful, and reflect his caring and kindness in every sentence. His personal in-person exchanges remain the same. It is obvious to anyone that has an interaction with Dr. Haque that his quiet calmness and confidence are part of his DNA, as are the great lengths to which he would go for a colleague or a patient. He is often scheduled when he was not originally, and he is gracious in all things connecting him and his colleagues to their patients. He handles even tough situations with kindness and grace and sets the bar quite high when it comes to these measures. The arch over all things relating Dr. Haque is caring and kindness. His patients, their families, and his colleagues would all echo these sentiments. He lives and breathes in all of his interactions and exchanges
