Two years ago, a mandatory insurance change compelled me to seek a new ObGyn after 25 years. This transition, initially apprehensive, proved serendipitous, introducing me to Dr. Soviero. As a mature woman experiencing symptoms that did not align with menopause criteria, I faced a dilemma. My former physician recommended an in-office procedure, explicitly stating anesthesia wasn't an option. The prospect of such a painful, invasive experience without comfort measures instilled deep fear, leading me to postpone vital care, despite health risks. From my first appointment, Dr. Soviero built extraordinary connections. She greeted me with a warmth that instantly dissolved anxieties, making me feel like a long-time friend. She meticulously reviewed my health history, listening attentively as I recounted concerns and my profound fear of the recommended procedure. Instead of dismissing my apprehension, Dr. Soviero immediately offered a transformative alternative: the procedure could be comfortably performed under anesthesia in an ambulatory setting. The subsequent discovery and removal of a small, benign polyp not only resolved my health issue but, more significantly, cured my lingering fear of medical procedures.
