I joined the Northwell team in November 2023 and started working in the NHPP in Bohemia with Dr Bakshi. I was assigned to him as his front desk staff working his late hours. I was new to the OBGYN department and knew nothing until I worked with Dr Salil Bakshi. He was always willing to answer any questions, and I learned different OBGYN terminology and procedures by just being his assigned receptionist. He is very punctual and courteous to his patients. He is very kind to his staff members and always ready to assist in any problem we may have or even when he notices any changes in the atmosphere. He is very polite and courteous to his patients and the patients that sees him all have great stories about him and that he is awesome and they would follow him wherever he goes because he is the best male physician. He has over twenty years of experience with his patients, and the patients comes into the office bragging how great he is, and he delivered all of their children. He always will see patients even if they are extremely late. He is always attentive with his patients and make sure there is room on his schedule to add them on even if he is tripled book. One time I was not well, and my supervisor pulled him out of a meeting, and he saw me as a patient. It was the first time I saw as a patient standpoint, and he was very pleasant and explained the problem. Most residents mentor with Dr Bakshi and he is great!
