Dr Hyman is an excellent physician leader who has been a mentor for both providers and supporting staff. He over sees the day-to-day operations to ensure the quality of care is maintained and meets all the standards and criteria of the insurers. He has helped a number of staff to move on in their careers to advance in different area, His knowledge and work with the EHR and now the implementation of EPIC has been a very important for all that he has worked with. He makes what seems to be a very complicated adjustment one that is practical, and he is hands on in terms of teaching. He proactively offers his time to support and lift colleagues to their full potential. For these reasons I have nominated DR Jeff Hyman for the Truly mentorship award.
